Life in this flourishing 22nd century Frontier City is bustling, but peaceful. People don’t typically lock their doors in Amalga. The denizens generally take pride in the town’s aesthetic appeal and cleanliness, often touting it as a melting pot of old and new, the tried and the true, an eclectic mix of history, tradition and burgeoning technology. Neon holograms, phone booths, drive in diners, humanoid androids and antique vehicles are commonplace in Amalga. Allegedly, Aspyn Mera, Daughter of Mayor Mera and CEO of Mera Labs, claims the town still hosts buildings from the late 20th and 21st century, however all infrastructure has obviously been updated at some point and kept in code up to current year…

The general census consists of a naturally diverse mix of somewhat affluent families of construction foremen, robot maintenance technicians, mechanics, and workers in the energy and recycling industry. With the Mesa Grandai University attracting a mass of students and teachers, around 30% of the town’s entire workforce consists of those in the educational, technological and scientific fields, interspersed with a spattering of other occupations in legal, medical or entertainment with most of the student population filling in for entry level jobs in retail and leisure.
